Board of Directors Elects New President

The United Way of Fort McMurray Board of Directors elected Steve Yatauro as its new president during a meeting held on April 18th.  Yatauro assumed the position from outgoing President, Tony Mankowski, who held the title from 2016-2018.

Steve has been involved with United Way for a quarter century, in communities across North America, including Houston, Los Angeles and now Fort McMurray- most recently as the 2017 Community Campaign Chair.

“Steve’s extensive knowledge of United Way and his contagious passion make him an excellent choice to guide the United Way of Fort McMurray,” said Past President, Tony Mankowski.

Yatauro begins his term as President immediately, with Mankowski remaining actively involved on the Board of Directors as Past President.

“I am thrilled to take on this new role in an organization that I believe so strongly in, and who provides a fundamental service to the community,” said Yatauro.  “I look forward to working collaboratively with the phenomenal Board of Directors in ensuring the greatest social needs of the community continue to be met.”

The Board of Directors also elected Jordanna Lambert, who has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2017, as Vice President.
